Collecting Deposits

When your sale is complete, Realtair Sell provides a safe and secure way for you to collect deposit payments from your purchaser directly into your linked Trust Account.

Pre-requisites

Dashboard Overview

Access the Deposits dashboard by clicking on the Deposits tab.



The Account Information section displays the details of your trust account. This is the account where Deposits will be paid into.

The Vendor Information and Purchaser Information sections display the details of your Vendors and Purchasers

Any Deposits and their current status are displayed in the Deposit Transaction section of the dashboard.

To trigger a payment from the dashboard, click the Collect Deposit button.

 

Collecting a Deposit - In Person

If you are with your client, Realtair allows you to facilitate collecting their deposit in person.

  1. On the deposits tab, click the Collect Deposit button (note, you can also click the Pay Deposit button from your Contract of Sale)
  2. A pop up will appear. Here you can confirm if you would like to collect part of the deposit and edit the amount to be collected by clicking the pencil icon.

    Once you have confirmed the details, click the Pay in Person button



    You will be asked to pass your device to the purchaser 



  3. Select your Payment Method and click Continue


Direct Debit
To proceed, the purchaser will need to provide an OTP sent to their mobile number.
The purchaser should fill in their bank details. To make staggered payments, click on "Add Bank Account." After agreeing to the terms and conditions, click "Submit." Once submitted, the campaign status will be updated, and SMS and email notifications will be sent out.

Bank Transfer
The purchaser should transfer the deposit money to the provided PayID or Bank account. They should then tick the checkmark and click Submit. This will trigger email and SMS notifications to all relevant parties.


 

5. Direct Debit

To proceed, the purchaser will need to provide an OTP sent to their mobile number.
The purchaser should fill in their bank details.
    1. Enter your clients BSB, Account number, Account Name and Amount they wish to deposit.
    2. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click Continue


      Once submitted, the campaign status will be updated, and SMS and email notifications will be sent out.

    6. Bank Transfer
    1. Account details will be generated for you to share with your client.
    2. Share the BSB, Account Number and Account Name with your client and instruct them to complete a transfer from their Internet Banking or to contact their bank
    3. Accept the Terms and Conditions and click Continue
    4. The Transaction will be displayed in the dashboard as Pending until the funds have been reconciled. This will happen automatically.

Collecting a Deposit - Remotely

If you are not with your client, you can generate payment instructions to be sent to them via email and SMS. Your client will be given the option to pay via Direct Debit or Bank Transfer.

  1. On the deposits tab, click the Collect Deposit button (note, you can also click the Pay Deposit button from your Contract of Sale)
  2. A pop up will appear. Here you can confirm if you would like to collect part of the deposit and edit the amount to be collected by clicking the pencil icon.

    Once you have confirmed the details, click the Pay Remotely button



  3. A list of purchasers will be displayed, select the purchaser and click Continue



    Instructions will be sent to the purchaser via email and sms, once they have started the deposit process it will appear in the Deposits dashboard.
