How to Create a Contract and Include a Vendor Statement | VIC

There are 2 ways to create a contract in VIC for signing. Both approaches aim to ensure clarity and legality in contractual agreements, offering flexibility for various types of transactions and arrangements within the state's legal framework.

  1. Contract - Upload a contract from the solicitor

  2. Contract Form - Create your own using the REIV template

There are two simple ways to create a contract in VIC for signing. Both methods are designed to guarantee clarity and legality in contractual agreements, providing flexibility for various transactions and arrangements within the state's legal framework.

 

Step by step

  1. Select the campaign from your dashboard or create the campaign. Learn how to create a campaign here

2. Click Create and choose either Contract or Contract Form from the drop down

Uploading your contract from the solicitor

  1. Select Contract the dropdown in step above

  2. Add a name such as the property address - Contract 123 Smith Street VIC

  3. Upload the contract of Sale

  4. If there is a signed vendor statement you want to include you can upload it now.

  5. Click Submit

6. Use the Document Information & Document Field panel on the left to enter the relevant details and add the signature boxes

a. Document Information

i. This is where you enter the relevant vendor, purchaser & sale details etc

ii. Remember to click save on the top right hand corner

b. Document Fields

i. This is where you click the “+” icon to add the fields onto the appropriate places on the PDF

ii. Click Save

c. When inserting the purchaser details, the agent can opt to insert each purchaser’s details separately or merge it all into one text box (choose Purchasers (all)

m           Choose Purchaser (all) - their names and details appear as one text box - and the names                                                                 are separated by a “,”

7. Custom Option

a. This is where you can add custom text box, strike out text and add a check box

8. Now you can send the contract off for signing by clicking the signature icon on the right hand side. You can request the signature in person or remotely.

Creating a contract using the REIV template

  1. Create the campaign or select the existing campaign

  2. Within the Sign tab, click “Create” and select Contract Form

  3. Follow the online form and fill in the required details for the contract

4. Within the online form, you will have an option to upload a vendor statement for signing or include the Signed vendor statement

a. Upload

i. This is where you can upload PDF from your computer, and add the signature boxes for the vendor and/or purchaser

ii. Click “add signature” to insert the signature boxes for the signers.

iii. In the pop up, click “+” to add the names & signature request

iv. Click Save to proceed

v. Click next to continue

b. OR BUNDLE EXISTING,

i. AND CHOOSE THE VENDOR STATEMENT FROM THE DROP-DOWN

ii. The vendor statement will only show in the drop down if it was signed within Realtair

iii. Click Next / Submit to continue

6. You can now review your contract and make sure everything is in place before sending the contract for signing

7. If you need to make changes, utilise the Edit button

a. Edit Whole Form - this will take you back through each section in the online form and apply the necessary edits.

b. Advanced Edit - this allows you to apply any custom options to edit the generated agreement or add a file that needs to be part of the agreement. Any field that turns blue is an editable field that can be changed and saved. Any changes you make here will disappear if you click edit whole form again. So make sure you make all your changes via Edit Whole Form, then add any last minute changes via Advance Edit

c. Edit Campaign - this will take you to a page to edit the campaign address, property type, agents etc


8. Now you can send the contract off for signing by clicking the signature icon on the right hand side. You can request the signature in person or remotely.
