Understanding the 'Make an offer' button on realestate.com.au
If you use both Realtair and realestate.com.au (REA), you can add a ‘Make an offer’ button to your listings.
This feature links your REA listings directly to your Realtair campaign. It helps to streamline offers for your private treaty sales.

How it works
- When a buyer clicks the ‘Make an offer’ button, they are taken to the Realtair offer page.
- They can then submit their offer online through your Realtair campaign.
Where to find the button
- The button's location on an REA listing is now dynamic.
- REA places the button based on the buyer's search activity. If a buyer is showing high intent, the button will be shown higher up on the listing page.
- This change ensures the most relevant information is shown to buyers at every stage of their journey.
Why is the 'Make an offer' button not showing?
- For the button to appear, your listing must meet several requirements.
- Use this table to troubleshoot common issues.
| Common Issue | Requirement | Action to take |
|---|---|---|
| Address Mismatch | The property address must be an exact 100% match between Realtair and REA. | Check for any differences in spelling, spacing, or abbreviations. For example, ‘Unit 1, 123 Smith St’ will not match ‘1/123 Smith Street’. |
| Incorrect Sale Type | The button only appears on private treaty listings. | Confirm the listing is set to the ‘Private Treaty’ sale type. The button will not show for auctions. |
| Sync Delay | There is a sync delay after activating a new listing or updating an address. | Wait up to 30 minutes for the button to appear after you activate or update a listing in Realtair. |
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I see which offers come from REA?

- A buyer’s REA account details are not used for Realtair. They will be prompted to create a new, separate Realtair account when they first make an offer.
