Manage bids during an auction
The Bids page is your command centre for running a live auction. From here, you can start, pause, and end the auction, manage online bids in real-time, and manually enter bids as they are called out by the crowd.

Controlling the Auction Flow
These controls allow you to manage the overall status of the auction from start to finish.

Commence Auction When you are ready to begin, click the Commence Auction button. This will activate the bidding calculator and the live bid history, officially starting the event.

Suspend and Resume Bidding If you need to pause the auction at any point, click the Suspend Bidding button. To resume, simply click Allow Bidding.

Finish Auction To end the auction, click the Finish Auction button. A pop-up will appear where you must:
- Select the final Auction Result from the drop-down menu (e.g., Sold, Passed In).
- Choose whether to keep the final price undisclosed.
- Decide if you want to send a final notification to registered bidders and followers.
- Click Finish Live Auction to save and conclude the event.
Communicating During an Auction
Keep all participants informed using these communication tools.

Broadcast Message Click the Broadcast Message button to send an announcement to everyone watching the auction online. Your message will appear in the Announcements tab for all participants to see.

On the Market When the reserve price has been met, click the On the Market button. This broadcasts a clear message to all online participants that the property will be sold.

Livestream If you are using your phone to livestream the auction, you can click the Preview Livestream button to see a preview of your video feed.
Managing Bids
The bidding sheet and calculator are your primary tools for managing the bidding process.
The Bidding Sheet
The bidding sheet is displayed on the left of your screen and provides a complete history of every bid as it is placed.
- Accept or Reject Online Bids Bids placed online will appear instantly in the bidding sheet with two options:
- Click the tick icon (✓) to accept the bid.
- Click the cross icon (✗) to reject the bid.
The Bidding Calculator
The calculator allows you or your penciller to quickly enter bids made in-person or over the phone.
To place a bid:
- Enter the bid amount using the keypad or the increment buttons.
- Assign the bidder:
- For a registered bidder: Click their name in the bidders list on the right.
- For a vendor bid: Click the Vendor Bid button.
- For a fast bid: If the auction is moving quickly, simply click Place Bid. The bid will be captured without a bidder and marked with a ? icon in the bidding sheet. You can click this icon later to assign the bid to the correct person.
