How to use the Pitch Marketing Calendar
The Marketing Calendar is a powerful tool in Pitch. It allows you to create a professional and clear campaign timeline to show clients exactly what will happen and when.
This guide will walk you through how to build, customise, and save your marketing calendars for future use.
How do I create and edit my marketing calendar?
You can build your calendar by dragging and dropping events or creating custom ones for a specific campaign.
First, navigate to the calendar:
- Open a campaign from your dashboard.
- Go to the ‘Pitch’ tab.
- Click the pencil icon to edit your proposal.
- Find the ‘Marketing Calendar’ section.
It is best to include an image here to show where the Marketing Calendar section is.
Now you can build your timeline:
- Click the pencil icon to rename the timeline.
- Drag events from the left menu onto a date.
- To create a custom event, click on a date.
- Enter the event name and click ‘Create’.
- To remove an event, click the 'x' on it.
Note: The list of available events is managed by your office administrator in the Template Editor. Please contact them if you need to add or change default events.
How do I use timeline presets?
You can save any timeline as a preset to quickly reuse it in future presentations.
To save a timeline as a preset:
- Build your desired timeline first.
- Click ‘Save as Preset’ on the top-right.
- Give your preset a name.
- Choose to save it for yourself or your office (Admins only).
- Click ‘Save’.
To apply a saved preset:
- Click the plus icon to add a new calendar.
- Give the new timeline a name (e.g., Auction).
- Go to the ‘Presets’ tab on the left.
- Drag your chosen preset onto the calendar.
- Select if the timeline should start from or end on that date.
Tip: For auction campaigns, it's best to use the auction day as the end date. This allows the calendar to build the campaign timeline backwards from that key date.
Can I show a blank calendar?
Yes, you can choose to display a blank calendar.
This can be useful if you prefer to print the presentation as a PDF and fill in the dates by hand with your client.
To show a blank calendar:
- Click the ‘Settings’ toggle on the top-right.
- Switch on the ‘Display blank calendar’ option.
