Prepare a Master Contract (VIC)

This guide will walk you through creating a REIV Master Contract in Realtair. As a best practice, we recommend setting this up as soon as you receive the contract from your conveyancer or solicitor.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, it is essential that the Vendor Statement (Section 32) has already been signed by the vendor. This signed document must be attached to the contract.

Step 1: Create the Contract Document

  1. From your dashboard, click on the relevant campaign folder and navigate to the Sign tab.
  2. Click the Create button and select Contract from the dropdown menu.
  3. You will be prompted to enter a name. We recommend using the property address to keep it simple and easy to track.
  4. Upload the Contract of Sale PDF from your computer.
  5. Next, upload the already signed Vendor Statement (Section 32).

Step 2: Add Details and Tag the Contract

You will now be in Sign. A preview of your document will be on the right, and your editing tools will be on the left.

  1. In the Document Information panel on the left, begin filling in any known details. The vendor’s name should automatically populate if you have a signed agency agreement in the campaign. We also recommend adding the vendor's solicitor details at this stage.
  2. Scroll down to the Document Fields section to begin tagging the contract with placeholder fields.
  3. Navigate to the correct page in the document preview (e.g., Page 2) where the signatory details belong.
  4. In the left panel, open the Vendor Details tab. Click the plus icon (+) next to Vendor Name, then click on the document where you want the field to appear. Repeat this for the Vendor Signature.
  5. Follow the same process for the purchaser's details using the Purchaser Details tab.
  6. Navigate to the page where the pricing information belongs (e.g., Page 5).
  7. In the left panel, open the Sales Details tab. Add the fields for PriceDeposit, and Balance by clicking the plus icon and placing them on the contract.

Step 3: Save the Master Contract

Once you have filled in the details and tagged all the necessary fields, click the Save button in the top right corner.

Your Master Contract is now created and ready to be used to generate the final contract once an offer is agreed upon.
